The Mission
The Valley Gospel Project provides an opportunity for students to learn biblical truths, develop their talents, and build community through Christ-centered music education and performance.
The Valley Gospel Project is a new music education initiative of Music Serving the Word, and is designed for high school students in grades 9–12.
Meeting at Ravenscroft, the word-class performing arts space that is unmatched in Arizona, the Valley Gospel Project gives students access to professional-level instruction, meaningful mentorship, and the joy of making music while singing together.
The Valley Gospel Project partners with local schools, youth ministries, and community leaders to reach students who are passionate about developing and using their voices and encourages them in the use of their gifts and talents to honor God. This first year will focus on vocal performance through a gospel choir ensemble, blending technical training with biblical reflections to explore how music can be a powerful expression of faith and creativity.
Each season culminates in dynamic live performances that showcase the students’ growth and celebrate the power of the gospel. Through rehearsals, performances, and shared experiences, participants not only strengthen their vocal abilities but also learn biblical truths, build lasting friendships and gain a deeper sense of purpose for their gifts and talents.
